Jungle Mural

This mural was originally painted in the outdoor lobby of a hotel in Mexico, by an unknown artist in the 1950's. 

When I stayed at the hotel, the mural was in terrible condition, due to weather and aging. The outer area of the painting, on all sides, was entirely gone and parts of the inner work were damaged, too. The hotel owners were going to paint over it. 

I could not let such a beautiful creation be lost to the world. I offered to restore it.  My goal in doing this restoration was to paint in such a way that there would be no visible difference between my hand and the work of the original artist.

 The hotel owners were delighted with the results.
